SAP : Pengertian
Dear ALL ,roy
1. Info tentang SAP dasar ( tentang SAP – Basis juga ada, jadi musti ajarri kita donk supaya jadi SAP basis yang oke !!!! )
http://parkir2.blogs.friendster.com/my_blog/2007/05/tentang_sap.html
Secara pengertian SAP adalah
SAP (System Application and Product in data processing ) adalah
1. Sales and Distribution
2. Material Management
3. Production Planning
4. Quality Management
5. Financial
6. Costing
7. Bussiness warehouse
Dan

·The Meaning of:
1.SAP ECC: ECC stands for ERP
Central Component. SAP ECC represents the natural evolution of R/3 toward a service-oriented architecture. It reflects SAP’s very own ESA rather than R/3’s client/server architecture; SAP ECC sits atop WebAS, whereas R/3 sits atop SAP Basis; SAP ECC features a platform where functional/business logic and infrastructure technology underpinnings are separated, whereas R/3 lumps much
more of this together, thereby complicating support and maintenance. At the core of mySAP ERP is ECC. SAP’s ERP Central Component replaces SAP R/3 as the company’s core online transaction processing (OLTP) system. Like R/3, ECC
addresses a business organization’s needs to manage inventories and sales, track orders, plan and execute warehouse movements, and much more. Such activities often constitute the core business activities that must be accomplished day in and day out. Although a number of these functions were mentioned in passing,
it’s important to point out that many of these functions are now augmented through the deployment of one of four solutions that ship with mySAP ERP.
2.SAP SEM:SAP Strategic Enterprise Management (SAP SEM) delivers end-to-end ERP software capabilities to
support the entire performance management life cycle, including:
oConsolidated financial reporting — With SAP SEM, you
can generate consolidated financial and managerial reports for a globally distributed business or entity. The application can aggregate financial data
from SAP and non-SAP systems into a single analytical reporting environment, enabling you to monitor the financial performance of individual subunits.
oPlanning, budgeting, and forecasting — SAP
SEM helps enables you to model various planning options and use preconfigured planning software to get a quick start on operational planning tasks such as cost center planning and sales planning. The application supports traditional
budgeting and rolling forecasts as well as collaborative
planning.
oCorporate performance management and scorecards — With SAP SEM, you can develop KPIs that support a number of popular scorecard methodologies, including balanced scorecard, economic value-added, and activity-based costing
methods. You can link operational and strategic plans and develop scorecards and performance measures based on financial and nonfinancial data.
oRisk management — SAP SEM helps you
identify, quantify, and analyze business risks within individual business units and manage risk-reducing activities.
3.SAP CRM: CRM, or
Customer Relationship Management, is a company-wide business strategy designed
to reduce costs and increase profitability by solidifying customer loyalty. True CRM brings together information from all data sources within an organization
(and where appropriate, from outside the organization) to give one, holistic view of each customer in real time. This allows customer facing employees in such areas as sales, customer support, and marketing to make quick yet informed
decisions on everything from cross-selling and upselling opportunities to target
marketing strategies to competitive positioning
tactics.
SAP’s Customer
Relationship Management component has found great
acceptance in the CRM marketplace in the last few years. In its traditional role, SAP CRM is used to support customer-related processes end-to-end. It enables you to obtain a 360-degree view of your customers and their various touch points into your organization. SAP CRM also augments typical back-end
functions such as order fulfillment, shipping, invoicing, and accounts
receivable. And it folds in and enables enterprise-wide customer intelligence, or business intelligence
specific to your individual customers and their unique needs.
4.SAP SCM: By transforming your supply chain into a dynamic customer-centric supply chain network, SAP SCM enhances your planningoriented business processes through
streamlining their execution and coordination. SCM opens the door to cross-company collaboration as you partner with your suppliers, vendors, and customers to more intelligently and rapidly adapt to changing business scenarios. In the end, SCM empowers you. It makes it possible to be more
proactive, to respond to changing business scenarios quickly, and to ultimately create a more predictable supply chain capable of capitalizing on circumstances and maximizing profitability through
oImproved
responsiveness via real-time insight into your end-to-end supply chain
oImproved inventory
turns made possible by synchronizing inputs with outputs (balancing supply with demand)
oEncouraging
collaboration by providing visibility into trends via supply chain monitoring, analysis, and true analytics
5.SAP R/3: you can read here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SAP_R/3
6.SAP IDES: SAP IDES is a normal
R/3 but with lots of DEMO data. The system that contains several sample companies typifying relevant business processes. It is simple to use and has a variety of master and transaction data, and is used for demos, online/classroom
training, and presentations. Potential customers use IDES to trial and test software via Internet. SAP IDES – the “Internet Demonstration and Evaluation
System” in the R/3 System, represents a model company. It consists of an international group with subsidiaries in several countries. IDES contains application data for various business scenarios that can be run in the SAP System. The business processes in the IDES system are designed to reflect
real-life business requirements, and have access to many realistic
characteristics. IDES uses easy-to-follow business scenarios to show you the comprehensive functions of the R/3 System. The focal point of IDES, however, is not the functionality itself, but the business processes and their integration.
7.Etc. ??
·Abap Dictionary: The ABAP Dictionary
centrally describes and manages all the data definitions used in the system. The ABAP Dictionary is completely integrated in the ABAP Development Workbench. All the other components of the Workbench can actively access the definitions stored
in the ABAP Dictionary.
The ABAP Dictionary supports the definition of
user-defined types (data elements, structures and table types). You can also define the structure of database objects (tables, indexes and views) in the ABAP
Dictionary. These objects can then be automatically created in the database with
this definition. The ABAP Dictionary also provides tools for editing screen
fields, for example for assigning a field an input help (F4
help).
The most important
object types in the ABAP Dictionary are tables, views, types (data elements, structures, table types), domains, search helps and lock
objects.
·Front-end and
Presentation, I thing have same meaning, coz, they have the same position in
front of user. Meanwhile, all data is presented to user by this layer.
J those have same
function such as Displaying the user’s communication window with SAP; also known
as the SAP GUI.
·I thing it’s have same
meaning too, Application server: Manages SAP administrative functions,
processes, and request management. Database server: Provides for the organized
storage of all data, in the form of database tables, rows, and other
structures.
·You can read it here

Dear
all,
I have free time now,
so I decide to spend my time to answer but not perfect answer J.
1.Yes! We can know the other Tcode, how? Let me tell you how to find Tcode. Listed here are the various ways you can
find the list of transaction codes and their usage:
a.Use transaction SE11 - ABAP Dictionary:
Fill in the Database table name and click the Display button.
- TSTC table will contain all the Tcodes
- TSTCT table will contain all the Tcodes with Texts.
Once you entered the screen, click in Top Menu: Utilities - Table
contents – Display. If you want to display all the transaction code (total - 57,048) you have to change the Fields: Maximum number of hits to 99999 (default 500).
b.Simply go to transaction SM01, although this
tcode is to Lock/Unlock any transaction code, you can also view all the tcode available in the R/3 system from here.
c.Goto transactionSE93. There are two ways where you
can find the list of transaction codes in SE93.
Method
1: You must be familiar with the starting characters strings for each of the R/3 application modules. Assuming you know that most Materials Management transaction codes
start with MM. In the Fields:
Transaction code, type in MM* and
press the function key F4 The list
of transaction code starting with MM will be displayed.
Method
2: On the Top Menu,
click Utilities - Find - Execute and the first 500 transaction
will be display. If want to display all the tcodes, make sure you remembered to
change the Fields: Maximum no. of
hits right at the bottom of the screen.
Picture below is taken from second method (SM01)
above; I have tried it before I posting it here:

2.Ups.. I think number 2 and other not a technical question. I didn’t read it yet. It’s the request or critics. No offense, especially for number 3, I agree with u that we couldn’t spread our knowledge if we didn’t try it by ourselves or we didn’t try learning by doing. Maybe we can solve this problem together and how to expand our knowledge, capability, and skill is our task to develop our team. We can grow up
as big as we can if we help each other. Well, I think other team member have good advice or solution about this.
3.Answered on number 2
4.Will be answered by other members.
5.I will forgive u..hehehe…
6.OK, to be continued.
(Verdana 9 too)
7.Thanks to you who
give question, and let me learn from every question that you give to me, thanks
to Google who help me to get
answer or solution of your entire question.
